Each abstract should be about 350 words in Times New Roman, 10 pt. Please follow the attached example as a guide. For all correctly received abstracts the submitting author will receive an appropriate acknowledgment. If you do not receive feedback please verify the correctness of your submission. We request that you submit only one abstract at a time to allow the system to receive and acknowledge the receipt to the corresponding author. Each participant at the symposium can be responsible for a maximum of two presentations as first author (this may be: two posters, or two oral presentations, or one of each).
Submitted abstracts will be judged for their pertinence and quality of contribution, but will not be edited in any way. Therefore, any typographic and grammatical errors in a submitted abstract will appear in the published version.
The organizers will process the abstracts only after the registration fees have been received. Please note that if the reviewers deem the content to be more suitable for another mode of presentation they may recommend a change. The conference committee will discuss any such recommendations with the author(s), as part of the acceptance process.
Deadline for abstract submission: May, 31st 2009
Abstracts should be sent as an e-mail attachment to info@tardigrada-symposium-2009.org. Please remember to include your name and the order number you received with your registration confirmation e-mail.

Posters (90 cm wide x 120 cm high) will be attached to boards by drawing pins. Each poster will be displayed for the whole period of the Congress from August 3rd to 5th 2009. Times will be scheduled when poster presenters will be available at to answer questions and to discuss their results. These poster sessions will provide delegates with an opportunity to interact with colleagues, and stimulate their scientific appetite.
NIKON sponsored the best poster presentation with an COOLPIX S220:
The COOLPIX S220 squeezes sophisticated style, advanced functions and high
performance into an 18mm ultra-slim and ultra-light design that will increase your enjoyment of picture-taking even more. Compensating for the effects of
camera shake to realize sharper results, electronic VR image stabilization lets you enjoy capturing special moments without worrying about slight hand movements. Motion Detection automatically controls shutter speed and the ISO setting compensates for camera shake and subject movement. Smile Mode helps you to record precious moments by automatically releasing the shutter when your subject smiles. The new Blink Proof function automatically shoots two sequential frames and saves the shot in which the subject's eyes are open-wide.

Oral presentations will be 10 minutes long, followed by a 5 minute question period. PowerPoint presentations will be accepted; facilities for alternative presentation material will need advanced notice and may not be available. Please check the compatibility of your software/computer before your presentation.
